Talibah Bayles is a Birmingham, Alabama native and National Business Advocate on a mission to bring genuine solutions for ignored small businesses. She is the driving force behind TMB Tax & Financial Services, a full-service tax advisory & small business financial wellness firm located in Birmingham, Alabama with clients across the United States. Talibah is also the Founder & CEO of – Access Granted, Inc. – a 501c3 with a mission to advance economic opportunity for Women & Minority-owned businesses seeking equal access to vital funding (loans, grants, corporate sponsorships).
Through Access Granted, Talibah has made it her mission to leverage her existing relationships (federal, local, and state) to:
- provide financial support to businesses impacted by the pandemic who also missed out on federal relief funding;
- complete accurate financial reporting with the ultimate goal of reaching sustainable profitability.
In July 2020, Talibah provided testimony before the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship as an advocate for minority-owned small businesses shut out of COVID-19 funding. During this important conversation, Ms. Bayles identified and recommended next steps to break the barriers and to ensure access to capital. In February 2022, she launched the Black & Bankable CEO Podcast, a show devoted to accomplishing her personal mission of closing the small business financial literacy gap that exists in the small business community for black and minority owned businesses.
Ms. Bayles is a 2021 graduate of the Small Business Administration (SBA) Emerging Leaders and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). She is currently serving as a chartering member of the NAWBO Alabama Chapter and member of NAWBO’s National Advocacy Group. Ms. Bayles also served as a Member of the City of Birmingham’s Inaugural Small Business Council (SBC) 2019-2021.
She has built a reputation as a dynamic speaker with a capacity to connect with her audience, encourage honest conversations about their numbers to promote business success. Talibah has combined her hands-on experience to develop the Bankable CEO™ Initiative – an innovative blend of financial services and training curriculum designed to empower clients to operate their businesses through the financial tools of bookkeeping, payroll, tax planning, filing & compliance, and business credit and financing coaching.
